In this story, which is also an evocation of Homer's hero, Salome, the captain of the Odysseus, sets off with Jules, a young penniless painter, in search of Ammon Kasacz, the greatest painter of ancient Greece today. Splendid in its graphic design which makes each plate a kind of painting, and clever in the narrative montage on which its story is based, written by Sophie Michel with whom Emmanuel Lepage had already co-signed Oh, les filles, Les Voyages d'Ulysse are also the result of the artistic collaboration between Emmanuel Lepage and one of his masters, René Follet, who created the canvases representing the work of Ammon Kasacz. In a mise en abyme that the language of comics allows, the trio of authors gives the trio of characters a thickness and a reality that have overwhelmed readers.
